![]() It kept generally kept with the same time and themes as season 1. I loved season 1 and thought that 2 was a very decent enough sequel. Also S1 & 2 felt inspired by 80’s movies where S3 is just trying to be very general 80’s constantly. I know S2 is probably the least loved but despite it having some missteps and there being less mystery it still felt way more tense than S3 and felt like it took itself seriously. There’s no subtlety whatsoever in the plot or interactions. I enjoyed the horror aspects of S3 where we’ve been more thrillerish before but all the characters seem like really extreme exaggerated versions of themselves. S1 has such high stakes and the scene when Hopper goes to the morgue to check Will’s body is so tense from him punching the guard.
